Jennifer, I think you should continue posting chapter by chapter as you've been doing. As long as you label each post (and you've done that nicely), everybuddy will know what NOT to read, based on where they are in the book. I'll post some more questions today, moving us along.
I really appreciate the lead being taken by the questions, Jennifer.
Since the posts indicate the chapters, I agree with Bonnie that those who aren't up to a certain chapter and don't want to know what is going to happen will wait until they have finished the reading the chapter to read the comments for that chapter.
I'm getting ready to read chapter 8. I understand now why Bonnie eagerly completed the book to find out what happened. I'm trying to get several other projects done, but find myself drawn to the book as well.
One other comment--I receive notices when comments are made in comments that I had commented on, but haven't received e-mails on the last two chapter posts that Jennifer made. It wasn't until Bonnie's comment on Jennifer's book status request that I knew that the other two chapter posts had been made.
(1) Shirley, you and a few others receive notice of COMMENTS because I, as moderator, told the blog to send comments to you. I can only add ten people, including myself.
(2) Anyone can get COMMENTS and POSTS if you subscribe specifically to get them. I haven't done that, but I may -- because I don't know when something has been posted, either, unless I come here and look.
(3) Look on the sidebar, along the right side of the Book Buddies page, to find SUBSCRIBE to Book Buddies. I can't tell you how it works because I've never done it, but that's the only way I know of to be notified when there's a new post. I haven't done it because I check Book Buddies once or twice a day, anyway.
(4) When I see a post, I usually try to comment in order that comments will go out to the regular posters (the ones I told to blog to notify). If you want to be sure you get a notice, please subscribe.
I am currently in chapter 6 - and I'm definitely fine with monitoring my own spoiler prevention!
I just finished the most hectic week of the year for me work-wise - so I'm hoping to read a lot over the next few days and also be more present here in the discussion.
I'm really enjoying the book. This is Jodi Picoult at her best! I'm also enjoying the parts of the discussion I've seen.
Okay, I just wanted to know that posting ahead was unlikely to spoil anybuddy's reading. I have Chapter 7 saved as a draft because I wanted to write it right after I read it. So I'll post that up in a few.
The subscribe to buttons in the right side bar are for RSS feeds, not for email notifications. As far as I know, there is no way to get email notifications for post from blogger, unless there is some way for Bonnie to set it up (like she set up the comment notifications) because she is the admin of this blog. But I'm not super familiar with blogger.
Now knowing that people like to get an email notifying them of a new post (I know I would too!), I'll post a comment each time I post a post so everybuddy will know. =) Hope that is more helpful than annoying.
Thanks, Jennifer. I'm happy to know that SUBSCRIBE on the sidebar is RSS feed. There is NOT a place for me to allow notification when something is posted, at least nothing I know about. I've done everything I can to make it easy for everybuddy and would have done that (for myself as well), if there had been such a thing.

Let me explain how things work on this blog:
(1) Shirley, you and a few others receive notice of COMMENTS because I, as moderator, told the blog to send comments to you. I can only add ten people, including myself.
(2) Anyone can get COMMENTS and POSTS if you subscribe specifically to get them. I haven't done that, but I may -- because I don't know when something has been posted, either, unless I come here and look.

I did not think so too, Bonnie. I love the BB and I appreciate all you do running it!
