I've just checked,

and I can get The Other Side of the Bridge, so that's a start! I'll request it today and see how long it takes to get in!

Shirley's told us what she is currently reading....how about everyone else? What are you all reading while we are in the process of getting organise?

I just finished The Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desai today, and now I have started Lord John and the Brotherhood of the Blade by Diana Gabaldon. I am also reading Industrial Magic by Kelley Armstrong, which is a fantasy type read featuring witches, vampires, and lots of other paranormal creatures, and is the 4th book in the Women of the Otherworld series.

Hi! How are you doing?
How was Inheritance of Loss? I have had it for almost a year but havent read it yet. Most of my friends and family thinks its overrated, do you agree? It was VERY talked about, in India though.
I am reading Madame Sadayakko, a biography about a Geisha who became a travelling actress with her husband, around the world in 1900. Slow, but readable.

Hi Simrit

I quite enjoyed Inheritance of Loss. The storylines were interesting! It wasn't necessarily an easy read though. It was a book that I had to slow down and read through, but that's not necessarily a bad thing!

Has anyone else here read it?
