And be aware as you read The People of the Book that the Sarajevo Haggadah is presently owned by the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo, where it is on permanent display. Do you realize that Bosnia (whose capital is Sarajevo) and Kosovo (which proclaimed independence from Serbia last week) are both parts of the former Yugoslavia? Take a good look at this map of the area, where the religions of "the people of the book" (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) are jumbled together in often unhappy juxtaposition.
